5 Point Star
My friend Rachael requested info on the five-pointed star. According to the bard at last weekend's Oyster Festival, it's because it was easier to make by hand. It only requires 5 cuts,...which apparently was a big deal!

Okay, that isn't as exciting as I thought it would be...but good to know! :)
hmmm, interesting. Some day when I have some free time perhaps I'll try making a 5 pointed star with just 5 cuts!
5 cuts can make the star beautifully,...you just fold the paper (or cloth) in half first.
