Memorial Day, 2011

What a weekend. Not even sure what we did. It started off with no plans, and turned into a fun and productive weekend with lots of playing.

Saturday we met friends at ZooAmerica in Hershey for a spur of the moment tour. I think the toddlers liked the snacks as much as anything, but it was a good way to spend an afternoon. Yesterday we went to a PA beach (at a lake) with the same friends, Anne and Austin and Dan. Audrey and Austin, just as in FL, each had fun in their own ways at the beach. Audrey was busy busy and fascinated by the millions of tadpoles. She wanted to name them all at one point. Sheesh! After the beach, we went to Anne's dad's house up in the mountains for a lovely Sunday afternoon meal.

Today after mowing (ugh) and cleaning the grill (double ugh), we were invited to our neighbor's for their traditional Memorial Day activity--the beer fairy comes and fills their front fountain with beer on ice! What a great fairy. Maybe we need a fountain? After that, we spent a few hours in their pool, then headed across the street for a cookout with slip 'n' sliding! Audrey went all day sans nap, and did so well. She's a water girl, I believe!

Practicing for our Slip 'n' Slide in 2 weeks!

Slidin' with the kiddos.

Can I be jealous of my daughter's hair?
