Hershey Park

This past weekend, we lucked into four free tickets to Hershey Park.  We were doubly lucky when we went to get Audrey officially measured for height.  She's 42" tall, which in Hershey, translates into Reese's Peanut Butter Cup status.  This means our not-quite-four year old is tall enough to ride some of the real roller coasters.  Only two, but two is two rides that provide more giggles and squeals than we could hope for.  We explained that the SooperDooperLooper goes upside down, and would she be ok with that?  She lit up and said yes, jumping up and down.  We headed straight for it, and had no lines.  I sat next to her, praying that she was truly big enough for this ride.  Logically, the forces applied to riders would, by themselves, keep the riders in the car.  I took Physics I, II and III, I know this!  But the mom in me admittedly was a wee bit worried.  Off we went, smiles all around.  SooperDooperLooper goes upside down once.  At one point, she pointed up at another rollercoaster and commented on it.  Really?? DURING the ride, my child is observing, registering, and commenting on other rides?  This made me happy.  She's a roller coaster girl!

As we got off the Looper, she was vibrating, asking to go again, and again, and again.  We went a few more times, then moved onto the Comet.  It's older, wooden, and shakes you up like crazy.  She giggled the entire time.

After the Comet a few times, we hit up more rides.  Tilt-a-Whirl, the Carousel, Flying Airplane things, some Himalaya ride, and finally we ended with the Spaceships.  Thewe were probably the funniest to me, as Audrey had control of the up/down hydraulics.  Great fun was had by all.  Thanks to our friends who provided us with the tickets.

Looking forward to next year.  Wonder what she'll be next summer, an Almond Joy?  :)
