Gourmet Sunday- Italian Action

Gourmet Sunday, a relatively new part of our lives that we truly love. It started a few years ago, when Jenn and I would cook some wild thing each Sunday for ourselves, James and maybe one other friend. Ethiopian? Check. Eggplant Timbale? Check. It has blossomed into a larger, more involved, monthly gathering of some of our closest friends. A theme is chosen, and between us all, each course gets covered. We've done Southern Comfort, Asian, Tapas, and next up is Chocolate! Our most recent was Italian. Instead of showing you food pics, and posed pics, I figured I'd put up some "action shots" to show you (specifically my mom, who always wishes she were here for Gourmet Sunday) the fun we have!

Ok, so yes, most of these dinners come with drinks. This one especially since it was actually on a Saturday. David is a mix-master extraordinaire, and made some mojitos that got us all moving! Some got a little....acrobatic.

Dinner time finally arrived! Spaghetti Carbonara, Sausage and Basil Polenta, Macaroons, Espresso Panna Cotta with cocoa whip, Limoncello SemiFredo and from-scratch pumpkin pie!
